Chocolate Fish Coffee in Downtown Modesto
Tworoots LLC is proud to bring the Chocolate Fish Coffee & Roasters experience to 1030 J Street, continuing the coffee tradition at one of Downtown Modesto’s familiar gathering places.
Chocolate Fish Coffee Modesto serves specialty coffee, espresso drinks, tea, breakfast items, pastries, and seasonal café favorites. Our goal is to create a welcoming downtown coffee shop where customers can meet, work, study, catch up with friends, or grab an order to go.
The 1030 J Street address has been connected to Modesto coffee culture for decades. We are honored to continue that story while bringing award-winning New Zealand coffee culture to the Central Valley.

Preservation Coffee & Tea
Preservation Coffee & Tea became the next long-running chapter at 1030 J Street, offering specialty coffee, tea, pastries, and a relaxed atmosphere for locals and visitors.
